The Science and Mathematics Program at ºÚÁÏÉçÇø of America (SUA) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Chemistry, beginning August 1st, 2026. Although applications from any field of Chemistry are welcome, priority will be given to applicants whose chemistry specialization broadens and diversifies the existing chemistry expertise of our faculty.
The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to excite and engage classes of 16 or fewer students, to develop a productive program of research and scholarship, and to engage in service. The program would favor candidates with an interest in interdisciplinary teaching and research.
Responsibilities:
As part of a five-course annual teaching load between August 1st and May 31st, the new Assistant Professor will teach introductory Chemistry courses as part of our General Education program as well as foundational chemistry courses for students intending to study chemistry and biology in our Life Sciences or Environmental Studies Concentrations or to prepare for post-graduate study in the health professions. These courses may include flexible-topic General Education courses for non-science students, , (co-taught with a biologist; Introductory Chemistry II for science students), as well as one or more of the following General Education courses: Learning Cluster, , or (Core I/II) (see our .)
The candidate will develop a productive program of research and scholarship involving undergraduates and will contribute to service roles within their academic unit and faculty governance. The program is supported by a state-of-the-art science teaching and research facility. SUA provides resources to support faculty research year-round through institutional research funds and student research assistantships. All SUA graduates complete a Capstone (senior thesis), and successful applicants will demonstrate their ability to mentor student Capstones.

This position has a two-year term. We seek a psychological scientist with training and research in basic or applied psychology.

Under the general supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for providing financial and administrative support to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

Reporting (25%)

The Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of all aspects of ºÚÁÏÉçÇøâ€™s education abroad and international programming. A core element of the university’s curriculum is that these experiences are integral to each student’s academic path. The Director ensures high-impact learning opportunities that uphold the university’s mission, academic rigor, and commitment to global citizenship.

- Monitor program costs and ensure fiscal responsibility while maximizing student access and support.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- Master’s degree in International Education, Higher Education Administration, or a related field required.

The Stage Manager aids in the implementation and execution of producing live events within the venue working under the direct supervision of the Production Manager, and the oversight of the General Manager. The Stage Manager will provide support leading up to and day of show for all events, acting as Primary Stage Manager, executing specific show requirements, and directing and supervising production staff while ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:
- Respond to work calls made by the Production Manager.
- Provide general support for all stage and backstage needs of artists, including set-up, operation, and strike, for assigned events in the ºÚÁÏÉçÇøPerforming Arts Center. This may include music concerts, recitals, dance/theatre productions, film screenings, meetings, and/or classes.
- Act as primary Stage Manager, including:
- Prepare venue for the arrival of performers, including the stage area, dressing rooms, and loading dock.
- Schedule set up and show call shifts for Student PA crew as directed by Production Manager.
- Lead the check-in and load-in of arriving artists and performers.
- Create Dailies for each event as directed by Production Manager & Internal Events Manager.
- Lead stage crew and delegate tasks to them during assigned rehearsals, performances, and events.
- Interact with artists and their technical staff, licensee clients and staff, university staff, and student performers in the planning and execution of events.
- Execute and call show cues as required.
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly working rapport with artists, licensee clients, university staff, and students.
- Ensure stage, sound, and lighting preparations are complete prior to handing the house over to the House Manager.
- Ensure all production cues and stage entrances/exits are executed in a safe, appropriate, and timely manner.
- Assist performers in load-out and departure from the facility.
- Complete an SM report after each event, when necessary.
- Create and maintain a safe and pleasant working environment for staff and customers at all times.
- Occasionally fill other technical positions as assigned, such as FOH ushering, video directing, lighting, and audio.
- Assist in training and supervising Production Assistants when on call.
- Attend backstage staff orientations and meetings as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- Degree from a four (4) year college or university in a job-related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience
- At least 2 years of Stage Management experience with demonstrated competency required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in stage management for the performing arts.
- Experience working in a university setting preferred.
Competencies/Skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Advanced knowledge of stage management, and basic understanding of other aspects of technical theatre (video directing, lighting, sound, and ushering).
