What Can You Learn in 90 Seconds?: SUA Professors Bring Big Ideas to NPR’s “The Academic Minute”

This May, six SUA faculty members were featured on NPR’s nationally syndicated program “The Academic Minute,” offering bite-sized insights from their latest research to listeners across the country.

The daily segment, which is produced by WAMC Northeast Public Radio and airs on over 70 NPR affiliate stations, highlights current scholarship from colleges and universities nationwide. Each professor delivers a 90-second segment based on recent or ongoing research, making cutting-edge scholarship engaging and accessible to a broad audience.

May 19 – Katherine Perry, assistant professor of mathematics, concludes the series with a segment on graph theory, explaining how finding the most efficient way to distinguish unique parts of a network has practical applications in cybersecurity and chemistry. .
